Frequently Asked Questions & Policy Guide

Booking, Cancellations & Payments

How do I secure a booking with Rogue Ginger?
For General Bookings (non-commercial), your date is secured upon receipt of the agreed-upon booking fee. For Commercial Work, your booking is secured upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first hour of service.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?
All booking fees and deposits are non-refundable if the client cancels the booking. This policy is in place to protect Rogue Ginger against genuine financial losses. These retained funds cover:

Potential Loss of Earnings from turning away other work for the reserved date.

Administrative Costs associated with processing the booking.

Any Research, Planning, or Initial Work already carried out for your specific project.

Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes. You may request to change the date of your booking, and we will honour this request subject to our current availability and mutual written agreement. We ask that you provide as much notice as possible.

What is the specific deposit policy for Commercial Work?
To secure any commercial work, a deposit equivalent to the first hour of service is required (£280). This deposit is non-refundable upon client cancellation, as it immediately covers the cost of initial research, preparation, and project scoping. This amount will be fully credited against your final invoice upon completion of the work.

What is your policy regarding late payment?
Payment of the remaining balance is due strictly within the timeframe specified on your invoice (typically 14 days from the invoice date). In line with the UK's Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, we reserve the right to charge statutory interest and compensation on overdue commercial invoices. For consumer bookings, a reasonable late payment fee may be applied as specified in your contract terms.

Delivery, Copyright & Licensing
What are the standard delivery timescales for completed work?
Delivery timescales vary significantly based on the project type and current workload. We will provide you with a reasonable estimate for the completion and delivery of your work at the time of booking. We always aim to deliver high-quality work within the agreed timeframe.

Who owns the copyright of the completed work/images?
In the UK, under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, the copyright of the images and creative work always remains with RoguGinger (the creator/photographer) unless explicitly transferred in writing.

What are the licensing terms for my delivered work?
When you pay your final invoice, you are granted a licence to use the work for the specific purpose outlined in your booking contract.

General/Consumer Bookings: Typically includes a licence for personal, non-commercial use (e.g., social media, personal prints).

Commercial Work: The contract will detail the specific usage rights, such as duration (e.g., 1 year, perpetual), territory (e.g., UK, Worldwide), and media (e.g., website, print advertisements).

Any use outside of the agreed-upon licence requires a separate agreement and may incur additional licensing fees.

Can I use the work commercially if it was a General Booking?
No. Work created under a general consumer booking is licensed only for personal, non-commercial use. To use the work for business promotion, marketing, or any revenue-generating activity, you must contact us to upgrade your licence.

Will my images be used by RogueGinger for marketing?
Unless you have specifically requested an exclusion in your contract, Rogue Ginger reserves the right to use any images and creative work created for the purpose of self-promotion, including on our website, social media, and marketing materials.
